Coiled Serpent Inscription Taoist Pendant

A dark serpent coils around the top of a narrow inscription plaque. Its curving silhouette contrasts with the straight central panel.

Look first at the main motif of the coiled serpent inscription pendant. Its place in the Daojing collection reflects the use of ornament and inscription to carry a personal intention. Choose the particular design that speaks to the occasion, rather than assuming every motif has the same devotional use.

Think about where the pendant will fall when worn. The length of a pendant and the length of its cord are different measurements. If you intend to use your own chain, compare the fitting with its clasp before choosing.
