Nine-Character Hand-Sign Taoist Ring

Red rectangular panels around the open band each carry a contrasting hand gesture. The individual panels separate the gestures like a sequence of illustrations.

Sold individually.

Look first at the main motif of the nine-character hand-sign ring. Its place in the Daojing collection reflects the use of ornament and inscription to carry a personal intention. Choose the particular design that speaks to the occasion, rather than assuming every motif has the same devotional use.

Compare the inside diameter with a ring that fits the same finger. The width of the band affects how it feels. An open-looking band is not evidence that it can safely be bent to any size.

The supplier lists 925 silver for this design.
