Seventy-Two Blue Character Grid Taoist Scroll

Fine characters occupy evenly spaced cells on a blue field. A broad yellow mount contrasts with the dense, ordered grid.

Dimensions: 170 × 70 cm.

Sold individually.

Look first at the main motif of the seventy-two blue character grid scroll. Its place in the Daojing collection reflects the use of ornament and inscription to carry a personal intention. Choose the particular design that speaks to the occasion, rather than assuming every motif has the same devotional use.

Before choosing a wall, measure the available space from the hanging point down. Allow breathing room on both sides of the painted field. Hanging hardware and the overall mounted size should not be inferred from the painted dimensions.
