Taoist Thunder Inscription Ridge Band

A fine line of red writing runs between slightly raised rims. The polished sides frame the narrower inscription panel.

Look first at the main motif of the thunder inscription ridge band. Its place in the Daojing collection reflects the use of ornament and inscription to carry a personal intention. Choose the particular design that speaks to the occasion, rather than assuming every motif has the same devotional use.

Compare the inside diameter with a ring that fits the same finger. The width of the band affects how it feels. An open-looking band is not evidence that it can safely be bent to any size.

The supplier lists brass for this design.
