Nine Characters Yin Yang Taoist Plaque

The design pairs the Nine Characters inscription with a yin-yang motif. The sayings along the sides form a separate part of the design from the inscriptions on the broad faces.

Sold individually.

The yin and yang design draws attention to the relationship between complementary forces. In a gift, it can express a wish for balance and harmony, whether the piece is intended for personal wear or for the home.

For display, decide which face you want to read from a little distance. Deep relief and narrow incised lines catch side light differently; leave room around the outline rather than pressing the face against another object.
